A mobile exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi’s life, which was flagged off from Porbandar in Gujarat on October 2, reached Gurgaon on Friday.
Set up at the Government College for Girls in Sector 14, the exhibition was opened on Saturday morning after senior officials of the Gurgaon district administration welcomed the exhibition van.
The mobile exhibition is likely to reach Delhi on October 29 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit 2015.
It depicts Gandhi’s life and struggle during the pre-Independence era. Five-minute documentaries on his student life in South Africa, Quit India Movement, Satyagraha, India’s Independence and his death were crowd-pullers. The documentaries were saved on 15 tablets. Around 42 photos of the Mahatma were also displayed in the van.
The students and staff of the college called it an excellent initiative to revive the era of Mahatma Gandhi through audio and video recordings and photographs.
